Should I come? I can’t decide whether to take the plunge and book.
Is this reasonable? Is this expensive? Only you can make that choice.
All I know is that many times in my career, one recommendation, one message, one casual job offer has changed, well, a lot.
In one case, a message offering one day's work turned into dozens more projects. Then dozens more as people at that company moved to new ones. That first text led to £20k over time.
In another case, a recommendation brought in a good 20+ days for another company. That's another £10k.
In another case, a heads-up about a position resulted in, what, £250,000 in salary over several years.
In another, someone requested me for a film, a big film. Because I was on that film a whole slew of other big films got sent my way. Resulting in something like £300,000.
(Again, over several years. I'm not sitting in a gold-filled swimming pool like Scrooge McDuck here)
My point is, none of these jobs were advertised. (Or not anywhere they were meant to be found). They came from mates within the industry.
In short, I know how valuable a nudge from the right connection at the right time can be.
And increasingly, those connections are coming from my own sales, marketing and networking efforts.
Trust me, as a natural introvert and someone who knew nothing about marketing 10 years ago - if I can do this, so can you.
The more people who know you, who trust and like you, the more chance you've got of getting the jobs you want.
This is where the work is, that SO MANY people are struggling to find.
So.
How many days' work do you think you'd need to cover this investment?
One project? A few days at your next job?
Now.
Can I guarantee you'll get work from it?
No, no I can't guarantee that at all and you shouldn't trust anyone who said they could.
But remember:
If you're self-employed - as a professional development training event, this is a legitimate business expense. Effectively 20% less.
If you're staff - ask your employer to cover it. They usually have budgets for training and CPD. If you get better at attracting (and retaining) clients, that helps them.
If the amount's too much upfront, there’s the 3-month payment plan option.
Whether this is a wise investment is entirely your call.
What I will say is it's very much in our interests to make WRAPPP as useful, helpful and fun for you as physically possible. We want you to have a great experience. Both at the time, and through the relationships you make off the back of it.
Because then you'll think highly of WRAPPP. You'll tell people. You'll recommend it next year. That makes our job easier and we can make it even better next time.
If you win, we all win.
Want to be part of that? Fantastic. Come on in.
